The professional satisfaction that comes with helping others is what Jane W. Beup values most. She began her career as a second grade classroom teacher in the Bloomfield public schools. Later she was a teacher in the Region 10 school system in Burlington. During this time, she served on the Region 10 Schools Curriculum Committee and the READ 10 executive board and was a member of the PTA and the Region 10 Language Arts Committee. Beup also worked in the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) Integrated Program Model, heading a supplemental program for medically fragile, multi-challenged high school students. A long time champion of the City of Hartford, Beup sought a new challenge that offered an opportunity to help advance the city during its exciting time of revitalization. As a result, she joined the Connecticut Convention Center as Corporate Event Manager developing skills that she now brings to her clients.
In 2006, Beup agreed to serve as co-chair of the Hartford Children’s Theatre Kid at Heart Gala along with her friend, John Motley. It was her experience working with Motley on this project that convinced her to invest herself fully in developing the many wonderful organizations that serve Greater Hartford. Now a Hartford resident, Beup remains passionate about her role in assisting Hartford-area non profits, but now sees that organizations through New England have similar needs. Since partnering with Motley to co-found MotleyBeup, she concentrates on providing thoughtful, strategic and tactical advice to clients and helping them develop key relationships with potential donors. Drawing on her diverse skill set and organizational strengths, Beup effectively serves the firm’s clients and achieves a high level of professional satisfaction along the way.
Beup serves on the Board of Directors of the Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation. The Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation provides Hartford youth academic enrichment programs and support services to help them access college preparatory independent schools to ensure graduation from high school and enrollment in college. HYSF’s ultimate goal is to open the door to personal opportunity to enable Hartford youth to become mature, successful, productive members of society, who are prepared to make their community a better place to live, work and raise a family.
